Bangchak Joins “Energy Beyond Standards” Network

Narupan Suthamkasem, Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Sustainability, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, joins the “Energy Beyond Standard” network, with Supattanapong Punmeechaow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy recognizing Bangchak’s tangible energy conservation initiatives during an event at the Energy Complex. Over 70 leading public and private organizations expressed their support for the development of a national energy conservation plan under the guidance of the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, with the goal of increasing energy saving by 10% - 20%.

The Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO) appointed the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) to oversee the implementation of private and industrial sector energy saving measures and provide access to critical capital and technology.

The culmination of the various energy conservation initiatives serves to not only save energy but reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs, supporting Thailand’s Climate Change objectives of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050, and Net Zero GHG Emissions by 2065. Bangchak, a Climate Action Leading Organization of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) and member of the Thailand Carbon Neutral Network, is committed to achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050 through the BCP 316 NET plan.
