Bangchak Hails Innovation as the Key to Solving the Energy Trilemma Innovation Club Thailand Strategic Board Dinner

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, welcomed the crème de la crème from Thailand’s leading innovative corporations at the 3rd Innovation Club Thailand Strategic Board Dinner at Bangchak Corporation Head Office. During his keynote address titled “Solving the energy trilemma through innovation”, he assessed the challenges and consequences brought about by humanity’s relentless appetite for energy and stressed the necessity of innovative technologies, such as synthetic biology to capture carbon dioxide, supercapatteries (supercapacitor (high power) and batteries (high energy), and gold hydrogen, to balance the Energy Trilemma.

The panel and roundtable discussions also raised the criticality of developing a holistic startup strategy to promote competitiveness and scale-up at an international level to prepare to receive the influx of Chinese talent and relocation of companies into Thailand. This requires all parties to provide integral policy and legal support in order for Thai startups to effectively scale-up its capacity and competitiveness as the country positions itself as a regional hub. The discussion was led by Chanond Ruangkritya, Innovation Club Thailand Secretary, President and CEO, Ananda Development Public Company Limited and xLab Digital.
