Bangchak Group CEO Recognized as Outstanding Chulalongkorn University Science Alumnus

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group CEO and President, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited was awarded with “Outstanding Chulalongkorn University Science Alumni” award at the "Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University 2023 Homecoming Event" organized by the Science Alumni Association and the Faculty of Science Chulalongkorn University recently.

Chaiwat was a student at the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, in 1983. He currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of Bangchak Group and President of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, Vice Chairman of BCPG Public Company Limited, Director of BBGI Public Company Limited and Chairman of OKEA ASA, listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE), Norway.

He is recognized for various outstanding achievements throughout his career, such as the establishment of BCPG Plc. to invest in clean energy and related businesses, establishment of BBGI Plc. to support investment in biotechnology, setting up of Bangchak Initiative and Innovation Center (BiiC) to create an ecosystem for green innovation and bio-based products. Under his leadership, Bangchak has diversified and grown into many businesses through investment both domestically and internationally.

Chaiwat’s distinguished successes have been reflected through the many awards he has received, including Asia's Best CEO (Investor Relations) for 7 consecutive years from the Asian Excellence Awards, and the THAILAND TOP CEO OF THE YEAR 2022 award in the category of energy and utilities industry, organized by Business+ magazine in collaboration with the Thammasat Business School, among others. Hence, the latest recognition from the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, as an outstanding alumni who consistently makes contributions to the society and the nation.
