Thailand Management Association Announces Bangchak as the only Recipient of the Thailand Quality Award 2022 for the Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group and the TQC for the Marketing Business Group

16 February 2023, the Thailand Management Association, the Network Institute of Ministry of Industry, as the Office of Thailand Quality Award, held a press conference for the 21st Thailand Quality Awards 2022 at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel presided by Dr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, joined by Pativat Tivasasit, Chief Operation Officer, Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group, Seri Anupantanan, Executive Vice President , Oil Retail and Corporate Marketing Business, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited. The Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group, and Marketing Business Group, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited was awarded the TQA and TQC respectively.

The Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group was the only organization awarded the Thailand Quality Award 2022, and the first TQA win for the company, recognizing its world class excellence in management. Previously, the Refinery and Oil Trading Business Group was awarded the Thailand Quality Class Plus: Innovation (TQC+ Innovation) in 2020.

The Marketing Business Group received the Thailand Quality Class, its second consecutive win, along with 5 other organizations.

The Thailand Quality Award (TQA) is a world standard award for excellence in management, based on the technical and processing criteria of the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA), the American Quality Award and a model adapted for numerous national quality awards, such as those of Japan, Australia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

The criteria serve as a standard for organization assessment that can be adapted to any type or size of organization to promote change and improvement in various dimensions such as innovation, capacity and productivity, enhancing the competitiveness of Thai organizations. The objective of the national quality award also includes Governance and Societal Contributions in accordance with the policy of the Ministry of Industry to change and develop the industrial sector towards greater community acceptance, and the capacity to lead Thailand towards future sustainability.
