Bai Mai Pun Suk Foundation by Bangchak Corporation Wins Social Empowerment Category at Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2023

Gloyta Nathalang, Executive Vice President, Corporate Branding, Communication and Sustainability Activation, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, and Director of Bai Mai Pun Suk Foundation, received the Asia Responsible Awards (AREA) 2023 for Social Empowerment at the 14th Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia organized by Enterprise Asia, a non-profit organization that supports and promotes responsible entrepreneurship throughout Asia.

Bai Mai Pun Suk Foundation has been awarded the Asia Responsible Enterprise Award 2023 for Social Empowerment reflects the Foundation’s outstanding efforts in promoting education and environmental development by imparting knowledge and creating sustainable impacts in society, benefiting more than 17,000 school administrators, teachers, and students in 55 provinces across the country over 6 years of operations. This is achieved through the implementation of 3 programs, namely, 1) Read and Write with Ease (Providing an empirical-based solution for Thai language illiteracy), 2) Ruk Pun Suk Junior (Foster environmental consciousness through circular economy principle), and 3) Solar Pun Suk (Enhance quality of life and energy cost reduction through clean energy).

Bai Mai Pun Suk Foundation was established by Bangchak Corporation in 2017 to enhance youth educational programs, promote responsible consumption of resources and environmental consciousness, and improve the quality of life for Thai society. These objectives are aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainability Development Goal (SDG) 4 on Quality Education, as well as SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, and SDG 13 Climate Action. It provides opportunities for employees, customers, and partners to take part in various programs through training and knowledge sharing with school administrators, teachers, and responsible personnel to implement and deliver results and foster sustainability in society.

AREA is an Asian recognition program organized by Enterprise Asia, a leading non-profit organization that promotes responsible entrepreneurship throughout Asia, with the objective of recognizing and honouring businesses and leaders for outstanding sustainable and responsible practices.
