Bangchak Executive Shares Perspective on Sustainable Business through Creating Balance
An Accelerator for Young Leaders Joining the “Chicken Run Camp: Young Business Leaders for Sustainability and ESG 2023” Organized by the Yuthasar Na Nagara Foundation for Thailand Management Association (TMA)
Gloyta Nathalang, Executive Vice President, Corporate Branding, Communication and Sustainability Activation, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited was the keynote speaker (Executive Sharing) on the topic of “Innovative Strategies for Sustainable Business Development in Harmony with the Environment and Society” during the opening of the Chicken Run Camp: Young Business Leaders for Sustainability and ESG 2023. The camp was organized by the Yuthasar Na Nagara Foundation for Thailand Management Association (TMA). Bangchak Corporation, recognized as a role model for sustainable business management, was honored with the Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Thailand Corporate Excellence Awards 2022 for Sustainable Development Excellence from the Thailand Management Association (TMA).
Gloyta Nathalang stated that the creation of balance in various aspects is an important foundation in Bangchak’s business operations. This encompasses the balance between “value” (from business operations) and “virtue” (responsibility to the communities, society, and the environment), Bangchak emphasizes balance within ESG principles, which entails being accountable to all stakeholders, environmental responsibility, and upholding good corporate governance. Additionally, Bangchak assigns utmost priority towards balancing the Energy Trilemma, consisting of Energy Security, Energy Affordability, and Environmental Sustainability. Moreover, Bangchak has transformed its business, and introduced various initiatives to drive the clean energy transition towards sustainability.
The Chicken Run Camp: Young Business Leaders for Sustainability and ESG 2023 was organized to cultivate and enhance the skills, knowledge, comprehension, and awareness of social and environmental responsibility for future entrepreneurs and business leaders. It aimed to promote ethics, morality, and governance for 30 students selected from 16 universities across the country.
