Bangchak Congratulates “View - Kunlavut Vitidsarn”, the First Thai Men Single’s World Champion 2023

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, along with Bangchak executives and employees, welcomed and congratulated Kamala Thongkorn, founder of Bangthongyord Badminton School, who brought Ratchanok Intanon (May), Kunlavut Vitidsarn (View), and Lalinrat Chaiwan (Jiew) to thank Bangchak for supporting Banthongyord Badminton School for the 9^th consecutive year. Recently, Kunlavut made a historic milestone by becoming Thailand’s first world badminton champion in men’s singles at the recent BWF World Championship 2023 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Chaiwat presented prize money and souvenirs as encouragement to all three athletes, along with offering his support and best wishes, so they can achieve their goals and find success as representatives of the Thai national team in various competitions in the future.

Bangchak has been actively promoting and creating opportunities for the development of Thai athletes and has supported Bangthongyord Badminton School since 2015. This year, the support has been extended to all three athletes to become carbon-free athletes by pledging to offset the carbon footprint from their daily activities and travels to competitions in various countries. Moreover, May, View, and Jiew have collaborated with Carbon Markets Club to raise awareness to “Abate, Avoid, Action” to change everyday activities to “Abate carbon emissions, Avoid harming the environment, and taking Action everyday” and leading Thailand towards a low-carbon society, and address the issue of global warming.
