Bangchak Group Honored with Sustainability Disclosure Awards from Thaipat Institute, Reaffirming Transparency in Comprehensive Information Disclosure

Bangchak Group companies received the Sustainability Disclosure Award 2023, with Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited receiving the Sustainability Disclosure Award for the fourth consecutive year. Moreover, BCPG Public Company Limited and BBGI Public Company Limited received the Sustainability Disclosure Recognition Awards. Dr. Pipat Yodprudtika, Chairman of Thaipat Institute, presided over the Sustainability Disclosure Award 2023 ceremony organized by Thaipat Institute at the Bangkok Art& Culture Center.

Narupan Suthamkasem, Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Sustainability, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, received the Sustainability Disclosure Award for the fourth consecutive year, starting from 2020. Bangchak has been a member of the Sustainability Disclosure Community (SDC), established by Thaipat Institute since 2019, reflecting outstanding sustainability disclosure practices according to international standards. These practices are characterized by transparency and encompass economic, social, environmental and governance aspects. In 2023, a total of 54 companies received the award.

BCPG Public Company Limited, represented by Weerachat Udomdejudom, Vice President, Investment Department, received the Sustainability Disclosure Recognition certificate for the second consecutive year. Additionally, BBGI Public Company Limited, represented by Kittiphong Limsuwannarot, President and Chief Executive Officer, received the company’s first Sustainability Disclosure Recognition certificate, marking the company’s initial recognition since joining the SDC. A total of 49 companies received the recognition in 2023.

The Sustainability Disclosure Awards aim to raise awareness and prioritize the dissemination of information regarding ESG operations that are beneficial to stakeholders, fostering the long-term development of knowledge, as well the efforts to address SDGs 12.6. The Sustainability Disclosure Awards are divided into 3 categories, namely 1) Sustainability Disclosure Award, 2) Sustainability Disclosure Recognition, and 3) Sustainability Disclosure Acknowledgement. The awards take into consideration three criteria according to the Ceres-ACCA, consisting of Completeness, Credibility, and Communication of Content from publicly disseminated company Sustainability Reports.
