Bangchak Group Celebrates Success of “Genwit” STEM Quiz Show Mahidol Wittayanusorn School Wins Grand Prize in Season 1, Plans for Future Seasons to Promote Thai Youth Education

Bangchak Group concluded the first season of “Genwit – New Generation Geniuses Presented by Bangchak Group,” a quiz show competition based on high school STEM education, for Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Trophy amid an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers of all ages. The winning team, “M Witty” from Mahidol Wittayanusorn School, Nakhon Pathom province, received a THB 1,000,000 scholarship from Bangchak Group and will be granted with Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Trophy. Bangchak Group is prepared to continue organizing Genwit in the coming years to promote the education and development of Thai youths and foster a new generation for a sustainable Thailand.

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, presented scholarships from Bangchak Group and congratulated the New Generation Geniuses. Chaiwat stated, “I would like to congratulate the students from Mahidol Wittayanusorn School, Nakhon Pathom province, the winners, and Kamnoetvidya Science Academy, Rayong province, the first runners-up. They utilized their knowledge of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and their resourcefulness, creativity, analytical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills to solve various challenges during the competition. I look forward to seeing these young people write new chapters for the history of Thailand. “Genwit – New Generation Geniuses Presented by Bangchak Group” began airing on Workpoint Channel 23 on 3 April 2024. The show was a collaboration between Bangchak Group and Workpoint Entertainment to foster the creation of a society of learning and promote the development of youths in celebration of Bangchak’s 40^th anniversary and its entry into its fifth decade of operation this year. Sixteen schools from across the country participated in the competition. The final round was aired on 10 July 2024, with Mahidol Wittayanusorn School emerging as the champion, winning a THB 1,000,000 scholarship from Bangchak Group, and will receive the Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Trophy. Kamnoetvidya Science Academy received the THB 500,000 first runners-up scholarship prize.
