Bangchak Congratulates “View Kunlavut Vitidsarn” and Thanks “May Ratchanok Intanon” For Bringing Pride to Thailand at the Paris 2024 Olympics

Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited presented a prize of THB 1.5 million to Kunlavut Vitidsarn (View), who made history in Thai badminton by winning the silver medal in the men's singles badminton event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Additionally, THB300,000 baht was given to Ratchanok Intanon (May) as a token of appreciation and encouragement for her outstanding performance as a Thai national athlete. On this occasion, Kamala Thongkorn, founder of the Banthongyord Badminton School, led the two national athletes, along with the coaches, Phattaphon Ngernsrisuk (Coach Pae) and Pongphanat Kratanukul (Coach Art) as well as with MsLalinrat Chaiwaran (Jew) in the #TogetherWeStandStrong event at the M Tower. They were warmly welcomed by Bangchak Group executives and employees.

Chaiwat thanked and congratulated Kunlavut and Ratchanok for bringing pride to the Thai people. He praised their dedication and commitment to training and competing at the global level and wished them success in future competitions. Bangchak is ready to support and help develop their potential, with the aim of inspiring youth in participate in sports.

Bangchak has supported Banthongord Badminton School since 2015 and has continuously collaborated in various activities. This included offsetting carbon footprints from the travel and daily activities of May, View, and Jew, and making them Thailand’s first carbon-neutral athletes. The trio have campaigned to raise awareness about global warming, advocating for changing daily behaviors through “Abate, Avoid, and Act with May, View, Jew” to help mitigate the climate crisis in collaboration with Carbon Markets Club.
