Bangchak Executive, as TNCC Board of Governors, Highlights Norwegian Seafood and Thai-Norwegian Cooperation at Khon Kaen Event
Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, as a Board of Governors of the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC), recently joined the "Norwegian Thai Taste" event in Khon Kaen, which focused on strengthening trade and cultural relations between Thailand and Norway, with a special emphasis on promoting Norwegian seafood. The campaign luncheon was hosted by Ms. Åshild Nakken, Southeast Asia Regional Director, the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC), and was honored with the presence of Ms. Thea Martine Ottmann, Chargée D’affaires a.i., Royal Norwegian Embassy in Thailand and joined by Yaya – Urassaya Sperbund, Thailand’s presenter for the “Seafood from Norway”, and together with retail partners, local media, and influencers.
The "Norwegian Thai Taste" luncheon highlighted premium seafood sourced from Norway's cold and clear waters, known globally for its outstanding quality and sustainable aquaculture practices. This seafood was featured prominently in a fusion of Norwegian and Thai culinary traditions, showcasing the potential for innovative collaborations in the food industry.
Gloyta’s presence at the event also underscored Bangchak’s strategic investment in Norway through OKEA ASA, a significant move that aligns with the company’s expansion into international energy markets. OKEA, a leading mid- to-late-life oil and gas exploration and production company on the Norwegian continental shelf, represents a critical component of Bangchak’s strategy to diversify its energy portfolio while embracing sustainable practices. Bangchak continues to expand its business both domestically and internationally, placing a strong emphasis on innovation, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment, in line with its vision of "Crafting a Sustainable World with Evolving Greenovation."
