Chaiwat Kovavisarach, Group Chief Executive Officer and President, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, was invited as a panelist to participate in the seminar “60 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE,” celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Thailand Management Association (TMA) under the theme “Creating Great Leaders, Designing the Future.“ The panel discussion, titled “A Conversation on the Sustainable Future,” included Thammasak Sethaudom, President and Chief Executive Officer, Siam Cement Public Company Limited, and H.E. Helene Budliger Artieda, State Secretary for Economic Affairs, SECO, Switzerland. The event took place at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

Chaiwat discussed the challenges in creating a sustainable future, emphasizing the need for collaboration across all sectors, including the government, corporations, and the public. He highlighted the role of the public, who can play a crucial part in transformation through responsible consumption and support for environmentally friendly products. This can drive governments and corporations to move forward effectively, fostering a culture that embraces environmental sustainability. On the business side, integrating ESG principles into business strategies, investing in green innovation, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and fostering cross-sector collaborations are crucial. Adopting a balanced approach that combines organizational growth and environmental responsibility is critical. At the same time, governments play a vital role in setting direction, establishing infrastructure, and providing incentives and frameworks that support organizational and individual drives toward sustainability.

During the event, Bangchak showcased the green innovations of Bangchak Group, highlighting the group’s efforts in driving sustainable business development and creating a low-carbon ecosystem. This includes pioneering sustainable aviation fuel production and establishing the Carbon Markets Club, Thailand’s first greenhouse gas emissions reduction club, aimed at supporting carbon credit trading and enhance climate crisis awareness.
