Bangchak Clinches Two International Awards of Excellence at UN Women 2024 Thailand WEPs Awards

Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited received two prestigious international awards of excellence at the UN Women 2024 Thailand WEPs Awards Ceremony. Ms. Phatpuree Chinkulkitnivat, Chief Financial Officer and Senior Executive Vice President, Accounting and Finance, together with Mr. Chokchai Atsawarangsalit, Senior Executive Vice President, Corporate Management and Organization Development, received the awards at the UN Women 2024 Thailand WEPs Awards Ceremony held at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, hosted by UN Women.

Bangchak won the “UN Women 2024 Thailand WEPs Award” for Innovative Financing through the development of its Bangchak Digital Debenture via the Paotang application. This initiative demonstrates Bangchak’s commitment to sustainable investment by leveraging digital technology to ensure equal access to investment opportunities.

The digital debenture received an overwhelming response, with full subscription reached within just three minutes on the first day of issuance. This innovative financing approach enabled individuals from diverse backgrounds to access high-potential investments conveniently and fairly, with investors ranging in age from 20 to 91 years. Notably, 64% of the subscribers were women, underscoring Bangchak’s vision of fostering a sustainable future, robust business growth, and community support.

Moreover, Bangchak received an Honorable Mention for Gender-Inclusive Workplace, recognizing its commitment to equality based on individual merit, regardless of gender, and its adherence to human rights principles. The company emphasizes developing the capabilities of its employees, business partners, and stakeholders across the supply chain. This recognition builds on Bangchak’s previous success, having won First Runner-Up in the UN Women 2021 Thailand WEPs Awards for Gender-Inclusive Workplace.

The UN Women 2024 Thailand WEPs Awards, organized by UN Women (the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women), follow the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) framework.
