Bangchak Advocates Climate Crisis Awareness in the Supply Chain
Enhancing Business Readiness with Carbon Footprint Assessment Tools and Carbon Market Mechanisms

Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, emphasized the urgency of climate action and the necessity for businesses within the supply chain to prepare for a low-carbon future. Speaking at two sustainability forums, she shared Bangchak’s pathway toward carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, guided by the BCP 316 NET plan. This recognizes the importance of engaging businesses in the supply chain to contribute to meaningful transformation while promoting the use of the corporate carbon footprint assessment tool developed by the Carbon Markets Club, helping businesses measure greenhouse gas emissions for better management and leveraging carbon market mechanisms to accelerate the energy transition.
At the Collaborating for Sustainability Seminar, organized by INSEE Ecocycle Company Limited, Mrs. Gloyta delivered a keynote address titled "Green Energy Transition and Sustainability Journey – Action Toward Net Zero Journey", outlining the path toward clean energy transition and net-zero emissions to executives of INSEE Ecocycle and its partners. The event also featured a vision statement from Mr. Bruno Fox, Chief Executive Officer of INSEE Ecocycle Company Limited, highlighting the company’s commitment to environmental leadership and building a sustainable future. The seminar was held on 7 February 2025, at Grand Centre Point Pattaya, Chonburi Province.
Additionally, at the Net Zero Accelerator Program (NZAP) 2025, organized by SCG (The Siam Cement Public Company Limited), which aims to support businesses in transitioning toward a low-carbon society through awareness and capacity building in climate change mitigation, Mrs. Gloyta was invited as a speaker and panelist on the topic of Trade Mechanisms and the Carbon Market. The panel also featured Mr. Patkamol Tattipong, Senior Trade Negotiation Officer at the Department of Trade Negotiations, and Ms. Anothai Sangthong, Director of Communications and Carbon Registry Office at Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO). The session took place at the SCG Headquarters, Bangsue, on 14 February 2025.
