WINNONIE and SWU to build battery swapping network on campus
Viboon Wongsakul and Rawee Boonsinsukh, Directors of Winnonie Company Limited, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somchai Santiwatanakul, President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Poom Moolsilpa, Dean of the Faculty of Social Science, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cholvit Jearaji, Vice President for Planning and Social Strategy, Srinakharinwirot University signed the memorandum of understanding to build a battery swapping station network for Winnonie EV bikes on university grounds in a bid to become a Green University, expand service points and convenience for commuters who choose clean energy, and provide 24-hour service, to promote the create of a Green and pollution-free society, improving quality of life and sustaining the environment.
Winnonie is a green business innovation for the environment and society from the support of Bangchak Initiative and Innovation Center (BiiC), Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, which began operations in February 2020, and currently operating under the name “Winnonie Company Limited” with an initial objective of improving the quality of life of public motorcycle taxi drivers, reducing associated operating costs, and developing an e-motorbike sharing platform with an integrated batter swapping station network for all.
Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) is a leading Thai university committed to becoming a Green University by promoting renewable energy usage and environmental conservation within the university, and is determined to sustainably improve quality of life and environmental protection as well as foster environmental and civic consciousness among students and staff to serve as role models for Thai society to develop sustainable social and environmental foundations.
