“Bangchak Digital Debentures” Sustainable Investment for Digital Investors via “Paotang”, 3,000 million Fully-Subscribed in 3 minutes 18 seconds
“Bangchak Digital Debentures” successfully fully-subscribed THB 3,000 in 3 minutes 18 seconds after launching, reaffirming confidence in Bangchak capabilities and business opportunities in sustainability investments, catering to digital investors through its availability on the “Paotang” application, providing everyone with access quality investments fairly and equally.
Phatpuree Chunkulkitnivat, Acting Senior Executive Vice President, Accounting and Finance, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited (BCP) revealed that the offering of the company’s first Digital via the Krungthai Bank’s Paotang application was successful, attracting large amounts of investors, who fully-subscribed the THB 3,000 million in 3 minutes and 18 seconds following the first day of opening at 08.30 of 18 October 2022, reaffirming investor confidence in the company through its capabilities and strong business growth opportunities in sustainable growth. Bangchak Digital Debentures are named, unsubordinated, unsecured, and has a Debenture holders' representative, worth THB 3,000 million, a 4-year investment period, with an annual interest rate of 3.60%, payable every 6 months, assigned a credit rating of “A-”, stable, by TRIS Rating on 18 August 2022.
“The company would like to thank investors for their interest and confidence in this Bangchak Digital Debentures, and would like to thank Krungthai Bank for leading the smooth and successful debenture issuance, allowing investors to fairly and equally access these debentures. The company will use the proceeds from the fundraising as working capital to address the volatility of the Thai economy and oil prices, as well as expand investments to maintain a balance between strengthening national energy security, and the transition to clean energy for sustainability for all.
Rawin Boonyanusasna, Senior Executive Vice President Group Head, Managing Director, Global Markets Group, revealed that successful issuance of the Bangchak Digital Debentures on the “Paotang” application mainly comes from investor confidence in Bangchak, a leading energy business, with the opportunities and capabilities for continued growth, coupled with the investment channel via the widely familiar and convenient “Paotang” application, carryout transactions conveniently, quickly, and in real-time 24-hours a day; able to receive debentures and payments instantly through Blockchain technology, giving greater transparency. Investors of digital debentures are spread throughout the country, with 66% in Bangkok, and 34% in other provinces, ages from 20-90 years, but most prolifically among 20-40 year olds with 28%, and those above 60 years accounting for 25%, addressing demands for just and equal investment opportunities.
