Bangchak Wins Recognition at Joining Forces Against Global Warming Event
Mr. Thaneadpon Thanaboonyawat, secretary to the minister of natural resources and environment, has recently handed a certificate to Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited at the Joining Forces Against Global Warming ceremony. Held by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) to thank and honor enterprises for their outstanding greenhouse-gas emission management and reduction in 2019, the event has taken place at the Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok. Ms. Kantamas Krittayanykool, Bangchak’s acting director for technical affairs, safety, occupational health and environment, has represented her firm at the ceremony.
Bangchak, an enterprise with carbon-footprint labels, has received three awards of recognition: one from the Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP) initiative, another from the three-year Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER) for Bangchak’s move to cut its refinery’s greenhouse gas emissions by two per cent, and the other from the Carbon Footprint Reduction (CFR) for Bangchak’s economic-ecology system improvement for sustainable refinery business.
