Bangchak is First Refinery Operator to Get Water Footprint Certification in Thailand

Mr. Somchai Wangwattanapanich, a vice chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), has recently presented the water-footprint product certification to Mr. Pativas Tivasasit, acting executive vice president for Refinery Manufacturing Business of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited after Bangchak has been certified in six water-management categories of the Water Footprint of Product Program. The certification makes Bangchak the first refinery operator in Thailand to be certified based on Water Footprint of Product criteria, which seek to promote efficient water-resource management, reduce production cost, and increase competitiveness in the way that also accords importance to natural-resource and environment conservation. The certification has been granted at the "Eco Innovation Forum 2019". Held by the FTI Environment Institute for Sustainability under the Circular Economy: Way to Smart and Sustainable Eco Industrial Town concept, the "Eco Innovation Forum 2019” has taken place at Miracle Grand Hotel, Laksi.
