Bangchak Group Bags Thailand Energy Awards 2019

Mr. Skulrath Siriphannon, BBGI Public Company Limited’s deputy managing director for Ethanol Business Unit and Bangchak Bioethanol (Chachoengsao) Company Limited’s (BBE) managing director, has recently accepted the Thailand Energy Award 2019 from the contest’s biofuel project category. Both BBGI and BBE are parts of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited. The recognition is granted for the firms’ plant that has manufactured cassava-based ethanol for gasohol production and recycled wastewater for biogas production, which curb carbon-dioxide and greenhouse-gas emissions. The award is granted at the Thailand Energy Awards 2019. Organized by the Ministry of Energy’s Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, the event has taken place at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) Bangna.

At the same event, Bangchak has also won the Thailand Energy Award 2019 from the contest’s off-grid renewable energy category for implementing the Green Community Energy Management System (GEMS) project for the future of electricity distribution and its smart service station at its Srinakharin Branch.
