Bangchak Supports “Teach for Thailand” Promoting Youth Education

Gloyta Nathalang, Executive Vice President, Corporate Branding, Communication, and Sustainability Activation, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, presented Teach for Thailand THB 200,000 to Vichitapol Pholpoke, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Teach for Thailand, to develop and promote educational opportunities for students and the country. This supports critical developments and foundations for the educational system, enhancing student competency, and increasing the availability of educational opportunities, through the “Teachers for Change” program, which aims to find, develop, and support quality teachers to teach in various schools in need of support across Thailand, to foster an education of quality and equality, and a sustainable and better quality of life for Thais.

Gloyta stated that “Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited prioritizes education and human development, both within and outside the organization. Supporting Teach for Thailand helps to set a standard for sustainable development through education, in line with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, and business sustainability strategy which aims to balance 3 responsibilities, namely, Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG).

Teach for Thailand aims to mobilize a network of leaders toward fostering education equality for Thai children, by finding and developing teachers to lead change in schools and communities to provide quality education to students, established in cohesion with Teach For America (in the United States of America), and Teach First (in the United Kingdom, who initiated the “Teachers for Change” program, with 61 member states across 6 continents.
